Golden Anniversary

The NWI Chapter has been gathering steam for the 50th anniversary celebration. Several events and plans are starting to unfold right now.

We have ordered Railph lapel pins. These will be available for $5.00 each by the August meeting in Oregon, Illinois.

We are also expecting to release for order, NWI wear featuring Railph and “North Western Illinois Chapter NRHS 50 Anniversary” embroidered on the upper left front of the T-shirt. Other apparel will be available as well: sweat shirts, hoodies and baseball caps. I will have a t-shirt for display at the picnic.

August Chapter Meeting Date

This year’s August Chapter meeting in Oregon, Illinois will be August 24. This is the fourth Saturday as usual. Be aware, there are five Saturdays in August, so don’t show up a week late.

NWL September Meeting Location Move

The September meeting of the NWI will take place at Trinity Church in downtown Rockford, Illinois, thanks to Mark Broman.

We are moving the meeting here on account we are arranging to ride the Rockford Park District Trolley Car 36 after the meeting. Trinity’s back parking lot is nearly across the street from the trolley depot on North Madison Street.
